Forged engine refund and return policy we are committed to providing customers with quality engines and accurate product information. Because engines are large, heavy, and often custom-sourced products, returns and refunds are subject to the terms below.
1. Order Confirmation
Before an order is finalized, customers are responsible for reviewing the engine specifications, compatibility, condition, mileage where applicable, accessories, and other product details.
Customers should confirm that the selected engine is suitable for their vehicle or intended application before placing an order.
If you are unsure which engine you need, please contact us before ordering.
2. Cancellation Before Shipment
An order cancellation request may be accepted if the engine has not yet been shipped, prepared for export, or specially sourced for the customer.
If cancellation is approved, any refund will be calculated based on costs already incurred, including applicable sourcing, preparation, payment-processing, packaging, or other non-recoverable expenses.
Special-order or custom-built engines may not be cancellable once work or sourcing has begun.
3. Returns
Because automotive engines are heavy mechanical products, customers must contact Forged & Stocked Engines and obtain written return authorization before sending any engine back.
Unauthorized returns may not be accepted.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a return request must be submitted within [7/14/30] days of delivery.
The engine must:
- Be the same engine supplied to the customer.
- Not have been disassembled or opened.
- Not have been modified or rebuilt after delivery.
- Not have been damaged through installation, misuse, overheating, contamination, or improper handling.
- Remain in substantially the same condition as when delivered.
4. Incorrect or Damaged Orders
If you receive an engine that is materially different from the engine described on your order, please contact us as soon as possible.
If the engine arrives damaged, customers should:
- Photograph the engine and packaging immediately.
- Keep all packaging and shipping materials.
- Notify the carrier where appropriate.
- Contact Forged & Stocked Engines with photographs and order information.
We will review the issue and work with the customer and carrier, where applicable, to determine the appropriate resolution.
5. Engine Installation
Customers should inspect the engine before installation.
Do not install an engine if you believe it is incorrect, damaged, or materially different from the agreed specification.
Once an engine has been installed, modified, disassembled, or operated, return eligibility may be affected.
Forged & Stocked Engines is not responsible for labor costs, installation costs, removal costs, towing, rental vehicles, lost income, downtime, or other consequential expenses unless expressly agreed in writing or required by applicable law.
6. Refunds
Approved refunds will normally be issued to the original payment method.
The refund amount may be reduced by applicable non-refundable costs, including where permitted by law:
- Shipping charges
- Return freight
- Customs or import charges
- Duties and taxes
- Payment-processing fees
- Special-order expenses
- Sourcing costs
- Packaging or crating costs
- Damage or missing components attributable to the customer
Refund timing depends on the payment provider and financial institution.
7. Return Shipping
Unless the return is caused by an error on our part or another circumstance for which we are legally responsible, the customer may be responsible for return shipping costs.
Engines must be properly secured, drained where appropriate, and packaged to prevent damage during return transportation.
The customer may be responsible for damage occurring during an improperly packaged return.
8. International Orders
International customers are responsible for reviewing the import requirements applicable to their destination country before ordering.
Customs duties, import taxes, brokerage charges, storage charges, quarantine charges, port fees, and other destination-country charges are generally the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise stated in writing.
These charges are generally not refundable by Forged & Stocked Engines.
International returns may involve substantial freight and customs costs. Customers should contact us before returning an international order.
9. Core Charges
Where a core charge applies, the core must meet the conditions specified at the time of purchase.
- Correct engine/core type
- Usable major components
- No severe damage
- No excessive corrosion
- Complete required components
Core returns must be approved and shipped according to our instructions.
Core refunds are issued only after the returned core has been inspected and approved.
10. Warranty Claims
A warranty claim is separate from a standard return request.
If you believe an engine has developed a problem covered by its applicable warranty, contact us before performing major repairs or disassembling the engine.
Warranty coverage, duration, exclusions, and claim procedures depend on the specific engine and the warranty terms supplied with the order.
Unauthorized disassembly, modification, racing use, overheating, improper installation, lack of lubrication, or misuse may void applicable warranty coverage where permitted by the applicable warranty terms and law.
11. Non-Returnable Items
Unless required by applicable law or otherwise agreed in writing, the following may be non-returnable:
- Custom-built engines
- Special-order engines
- Engines modified specifically for a customer
- Parts or components installed or altered by the customer
- Engines that have been disassembled
- Engines damaged after delivery through customer handling or installation
- Certain clearance or final-sale items
12. How to Request a Return
To request a return or refund, contact us with:
- Customer name
- Order number
- Engine identification
- Date of delivery
- Reason for the request
- Photographs or videos where relevant
- Description of the problem
Send your request through our official contact channels.
Do not ship an engine back until you have received return instructions from Forged & Stocked Engines.
13. Inspection
Returned engines may be inspected before a refund or replacement is approved.
The inspection may verify:
- Engine identity
- Physical condition
- Serial or identification numbers where applicable
- Signs of installation
- Disassembly or modification
- Damage
- Missing components
- Condition of packaging
The inspection result may affect the final refund or return decision.
14. Legal Rights
This policy does not limit any consumer rights, guarantees, warranties, or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or restricted under applicable law.
Where mandatory consumer-protection laws provide rights that differ from this policy, those legal rights will apply.
